School Closure Arrangements Update

Welcome

Welcome to our website; we hope that you will be able to glean a little about our school and that the information here is helpful to you.

Great Creaton Primary School is a gem of a school, hidden away in the rolling Northamptonshire countryside, on the A5199 just north of Kingsthorpe. Children come from a wide surrounding area; from Northampton itself as well as from the villages between Northampton and the Leicestershire border. Parents send their children to Great Creaton because they know and appreciate how much the school does to support their child’s individual needs. We are committed to providing the very best in primary education and the support and gratitude we receive from our parents is second to none.

Over the past three years our new team of excellent teaching staff has excelled to ensure that the children make the very best of their abilities, both academically and socially. Our aim is to provide a nurturing, safe and happy environment which supports children in becoming independent, caring, resilient and contributory members of society. Our highly skilled team of staff is dedicated to providing a broad, rich and creative curriculum, which meets the needs of the children in our school. Ducklings Pre-school is on site, and we run a Breakfast Club from 8am and an After School Club until 6.00pm.

Great Creaton is federated with Clipston Primary School which means we share our resources, including the Executive Head Teacher. This enables our lovely small school to benefit from all the opportunities usually only provided in much larger primary schools. At the same time we maintain all the benefits that our genuine, family-feel, small school contributes to the children’s learning experience.

The children themselves will tell you how much they love being at Great Creaton school. The extensive, idyllic grounds are a children’s paradise with ample space to run, dens to build and a fort to climb, as well as quiet, shady alcoves in which to read and play games. Our learning environment inside is just as enticing with stimulating classrooms, our very own museum and themed topics which whet the children’s appetites so much so that they can’t help but become absorbed in their learning. Have a look on Twitter @creatonprimary to see all the exciting and stimulating things we get up to.

If you are already a member of our community, we hope that this website enables you to access all of the information you need. If you do not already know Great Creaton Primary School, we welcome you and we hope that this website gives you a flavour of our school. The best way to find out more about our gem of a school is to come and visit us and see the school in action, whenever is convenient to you.  If there is anything else you would like to know, you are very welcome to e-mail me via the office. We would be delighted to show you around our small, vibrant and happy school, where the children flourish and thrive as individuals.
