ceop report

Great Creaton Primary is a small rural school in Creaton village, about 8 miles on the A5909 from Kingsthorpe. Children come from a wide surrounding area including Northampton itself as well as from the villages between Northampton and the Leicestershire border. Ducklings Pre-school is on site and any children aged 3 to 11 can enjoy our facilities from Breakfast Club to a hot meal at lunchtime and through to tea at our After School Club.

Over the past year our new team of excellent teaching staff have excelled themselves to ensure that the children make rapid and accelerated progress. For example in Year 6 the children made more than two year’s progress in writing in just nine months. Our superb results are due to the high aspirations we have for all our pupils. We are a rapidly improving school, committed to providing the very best in primary education.
Our aim is to provide a nurturing and happy environment which supports children in becoming independent, caring, resilient and responsible members of society. Our highly skilled team of staff is dedicated to providing a broad, rich and creative curriculum, firmly rooted in the basic skills of English and Mathematics.

We are federated with Clipston Primary School which means we share our resources, including the Executive Head Teacher. This enables our lovely small school of about 50 pupils to benefit from all the opportunities usually only provided in much larger primary schools. At the same time we maintain the benefits that our family friendly ethos contributes to the children’s learning experience.

The children will tell you themselves how much they love being at Great Creaton school. The extensive, idyllic grounds are a children’s paradise with ample space to run, dens to build and a fort to climb, as well as quiet, shady alcoves in which to read and play games. Our learning environment inside is just as enticing with stimulating classrooms and themed topics which whet the children’s appetites so much so that they can’t help but become absorbed in their learning. Have a look on Twitter @creatonprimary to see what we get up to.
